Thinking of some quiet moments in the north woods this winter? Consider a trip to the Adirondacks, snow or not. Journey’s End is staying open during the season, welcoming guests to relax in front of our Lake House fire or in our cozy Nest Cottage.
Long Lake features the Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday, January 2, at 1 pm at the beach; Winter Carnival on January 16 at Mt. Sabattis; and the Lake Eaton Ice Fishing Derby on February 13 from 7 am – 3 pm. For skaters, the Long Lake Geiger Arena Adirondack Skating Rink is open Fridays through Tuesdays throughout the winter. Next to the rink is Long Lake’s free sledding hill, a great place to spend a few hours once the snow begins to fall. For a Valentine’s Day treat for star gazers, stay at Journey’s End and book a dinner reservation at the Owl’s Head, Adirondack Hotel, or Cellar. If you’d rather stay indoors, both the Wild Center and Adirondack Museum are open.
Come experience the Adirondacks of the locals. All yours to discover this winter.
